Hello, this is your Battalion Commander Cadet/LTC Lopez. As I finish my last year at Furr High School I plan to take the many achievements our Battalion has accomplished along with me. Following this year, I plan to attend Texas A&M University where I will be majoring in Biology I am responsible for the battalion and making sure everything is in order! I look forward to this year where I plan to be an exemplary leader to everyone, upper and lower-classmen. I know you will all make me proud with our upcoming accomplishments. You are now part of our JROTC family, please feel free to ask me any questions you may have.

Welcome back! hope everyone had a great winter break , As the new year rolls in i hope everyone will accomplish great things in JROTC throughout this semester, Perhaps new recruits for our teams, as well . As the battalion sergeant major I care about every cadet and intend to set the example for our future leaders, If there is any questions you will come upon I will try to the best of my ability to answer correspondingly.

Every event is planed by my staff as well as getting ready for inspection. STEPHANIE DECASAS

S-1

Hello everyone, I am Stephanie De Casas your S1. I am a senior at Furr High School. Post-graduation I plan on majoring in Kinesiology at the University of Houston to become a physical trainer. I have been involved in the many programs and organizations offered here. I have been a member of many sports like: volleyball, basketball, softball, and cross country. As well as other organizations like National Honor Society, the JROTC Physical Fitness team and of course JROTC. As your S1 I am responsible for the numbers.  I keep track of cadet records, cadet battalion orders, enrollment data, and posting awards and orders.

I am Ashley Miranda Hilerio your S2, I am Junior at Furr High School. As your S2 I am responsible for making sure all of the officers keep up with the maintenance of their room: more specifically the equipment’s. I assure all of the supplies are safe for further use of the battalion. I hope we have a great year, I hope to be working with all you cadets soon!

SONIA FUENTES

S-4

I am cadet captain Sonia Fuentes. I am the battalion S-4 and have been in JROTC for 4 years. As the S-4 I am responsible for the materials that are handout in JROTC. Some of the materials I ensure get to you, the cqainclude uniforms, and making sure sure cadets have the materials and supplies needed for all events. From Houston Texas attending furr high school. I will be graduating in 2018 with a GPA of 3.6, ranked 29 of a class of 262 students. Over the 4 years in high school I have been involved in volleyball, captain of cross country awarded most valuable runner , captain of soccer awarded MVP, track , jrotc leading the physical team and have been awarded first place in cadet challenge for 3 years in a row and national honors society holding the position of treasurer. Planning on going to sam Houston state university to play college ball (soccer) and study to have a major in kinesiology as a physical trainer

ALICE OCHOA

S5

Hello! I am Alice Ochoa the S5 in JROTC at Furr High School. As a part of the class of 2018 following this year I plan on pursuing a higher education. Although as of now I am still undecided on which university I will be attending I intend on majoring in Biology and will be pursuing a career as a Spinal Surgeon. Throughout my time at Furr High school I been a member of programs and organizations like: YOLP, Emerge, NHS, Russian Club, Debate, Green School, and the JROTC academics team. As a representative of JROTC I am proud to say that I have been a member for four years: now towards the end of my high school career I find myself as a leader in JROTC, as the S5.  As the S5 I am responsible for the articles you receive as well as the bulletin boards and the JROTC website. I look forward to being a leader in JROTC and working with all of you!
